Perenia is a proud member of the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC) and has held seminars in the past and provided technical insights for AMEC’s member publication “The Explorer”. Perenia continued to build the relationship with AMEC and their members by attending the AMEC 2010 Convention. At AMEC 2010, Perenia, together with one of our shareholders, SMEC, shared a booth to highlight the services we both offer across energy and carbon consulting and engineering and consulting infrastructure expertise. The booth was well received by the AMEC 2010 delegates, over 600 in number.
AMEC 2010 focused on recent mineral deposit discoveries and the challenges facing future discoveries. It brought together industry leaders and business representatives from Australia, the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. The topics discussed included Discovery Successes, International Investment and Finance, Commodities, Issues affecting the Business Environment, Science and Innovation and Government Initiatives.
